How to advertise your property

Introduction

We offer the most cost effective and simplest method to let your property/ies quickly and easily. Instead of incurring high costs advertising your property through traditional methods and wasting time and money advertising in places where students don't look, let www.the-scheme.com , (which is a joint venture between the Universities, the Student Unions, HDLA, the City Council and studentpad.co.uk), facilitate the process.


Property management module

By registering you will also be able to utilise a number of features which will help you in your day to day tasks , free of charge. These functions include the ability to allow you to manage your maintenance works, send automatic rent reminders to students and remind yourself when gas certificates are due. New features including contract management, online fault reporting and key management will be available soon.


Photographs

Although not compulsory photographs do make a huge difference to your advert. You can either send them by e-mail or post and we will scan them on your behalf. This is what one of our customers commented; "many people remarked on the photographs, saying how helpful it was to be able to see photos .. Perhaps you could encourage landlords to enclose photos - it's certainly to their advantage"

Safety Certificates

It is a requirement by law to have had your property inspected by a corgi gas engineer , names of which can be found in the yellow pages. It is a requirement of the Scheme that a copy of the Corgi gas certificate is forwarded before an advert will be displayed.

The Rates

Our price to register / advertise is only: £55 (incl. VAT) per property for the year upto 30th August 2008..

Registering


In order to be able to advertise you must firstly join the Scheme - the official accreditation scheme in Hull. In order to find out more about what this entails then select this link

Once registered ,we will include details of your properties on our database with a full-page brochure style advert detailing all of your properties' important features, as well as 3 photographs (if desired). In addition to this, your property will be listed on the housing list produced by the Student's Union, which is distributed to all students seeking private accommodation.

Payment

You can pay either by cheque or postal order. Cheques are to be made payable to "University of Hull". see contact details below:

Before your advert will be displayed upon the website, please forward a copy of your Corgi gas certificate and cheque, made payable to the "University of Hull", to the enclosed address


Registering Your Property
There are one of two ways you can submit your information.
1.   Submit details directly over the internet. Please then forward a cheque /postal order and a copy of a current Corgi certificate.


You will then be able to login at any time and update you property details, manage your tenants, manage any maintenance work and track how many times your property has been viewed.

2.   Print and complete the enclosed form and post directly to the University, along with a cheque /postal order and a copy of a current Corgi certificate.
